MUSEUM memories will be shared in Wimborne on Monday April 27.

The Priest’s House Museum and Garden in Wimborne Minster is organising a monthly reminiscence session.

The programme is funded by POPP (Dorset Partnership for Older People Project) and supported by the Alzheimer’s Society.

The next session will be held on Monday April 27, 2.15pm to 3.30pm.

The last Monday in January saw the first Museum Memories reminiscence session for people with dementia and their carers.

Anne Brown, learning and community outreach officer, said: “The hour and a half flew by as we shared stories and memories linked to the museum objects we had brought out for everyone to see and hold.

"From ration books to radios we covered a whole range of topics and enjoyed an afternoon of anecdote and fun.”

The sessions use objects from the collections, giving participants the opportunity to recall and share their memories of the past. There will be something for everyone!

Admission is £1.50 per participant and includes refreshments.
