AN ‘OLD’ eatery has a new lease of life following a £240,000 transformation.
The Old Rooms Inn, on Cover Row along Weymouth’s harbourside re-opened its doors earlier this month and those behind the bar say locals have flocked to take a look.
It held a special launch event, which saw guests taking part in a selection of games and competitions.
The Old Rooms Inn, which is owned by Spirit Pub Company, has received a complete make-over.
The bar area has also been completely revamped, offering new cask and craft ales, a new wine list and a range of premium spirits.
There will also be a ‘specials’ menu, changing on a regular basis. General manager Paul Smith said: “Weymouth is a fantastic town and the Old Rooms Inn is at the heart of this community.
“We are thrilled to be offering our regulars and new guests a fresh Old Rooms Inn for them to socialise, eat freshly-cooked food and enjoy a drink.
“The opening was a real success with great feedback on the delicious menu and the fantastic interiors. My team and I look forward to wel-coming more guests in the coming weeks.”
