ONE Bridport restaurant is now open seven days a week in the town centre due to the high level of demand from the public.

Lula in East Street has been successfully serving its brand of cooked to order, fresh, simple but inventive food to diners since 2008 and has been Trip Advisor’s number one recommended restaurant in Bridport town centre for some years.

Now the restaurant claims that demand is so high that it will be the first restaurant to open seven days in the town centre – offering breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday, supper Thursday to Saturday and Sunday brunch and lunch.

Extra opening hours means extra staff and Lula have recently recruited local chef Stefan Brown to the team.

Stefan has been one of the senior chefs at the Bull Hotel for some time and said he is looking forward to a new challenge.

He added: “It's a chance for me to be more creative, although I love what Lula have built up and very much intend to add to, rather than change anything on, the menu.”

Chef Angela Heywood and her cousin Lucy Norman who runs front of house have said that they are pleased to have Stefan on board.
