A RENOWNED Prosecco producer raised a glass in Dorchester on his tour of the ‘wild west’.
The Nino Franco family has been producing fine wine in Valdobbiadene, Veneto, Italy since 1919.
Primo Franco, who is currently at the helm of the family business, stopped by the Dorset Wine Company in Poundbury for a Prosecco tasting event before heading to Yalbury Cottage for dinner.
Primo, the grandson of the brand’s founder Nino, was one of the first producers to export Prosecco internationally.
Yalbury Cottage will be running a series of cooking demonstrations throughout the year. On May 12 and May 19 it will be ‘Summer Fun’.
Barbeque demonstrations will be held on June 2 and June 16 and on September 22 and October 6 the team will be cooking up ‘Winter Warmers’. Tickets cost £30 per person. For more details call 01305 262382 or email enquiries@yalburycottage.com
