Get your rocks on for a feast this autumn.

Following the success of last year’s Food Rocks, which raised more than £3,000 for the Lyme Regis Lifeboat, organisers have decided to do it all again.

The festival will be held on September 6 and 7 with more food stands and more new faces.

There will be cookery demonstrations from Mark Hix, Mitch Tonks, Jack Stein, Richard Berinet and Rose Prince amongst others.

The Malthouse at the Townmill will host talks and tastings including how chocolate goes from bean to bar, how to forage for your dinner and how to smoke and cure your own food at home with River Cottage’s Steve Lamb.

There will also be a host of hand-picked local producers selling their wares in the Marine Parade Shelters and on the roof of the Amusement Arcade.

And the best part? The festival is free.

The festival will also host the Guitars on the Beach event which will see guitarists attempt to set the record for Britain’s Biggest Band, fronted by Deep Purple’s Ian Gillan.

The festival will run from 10am-4pm on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7.

It will raise funds for the RNLI and Fishermen’s Mission. For  more information, visit foodrocks.co.uk
