Child of the Year 2008: Winners
MEET the winners of the Bridport and Lyme Regis News Child of the Year 2008 portrait competition. After much debate and
hundreds of postal and telephone votes we can now reveal the winner in each of the four categories.
The winner of the babies category for cuties up to 12 months is Chandler Gumbrill. George Lambert was named top
boy in the category for boys aged 12 months to five years. Top of the polls out of the girls the same age was Eva
Symonds. The open category for older children and family groups was won by Tiana Carol and Mia- Ann Oldbury.

The overall winner of this year's competition is … Eva Symonds. Our overall winner will receive a super 20in x 16in framed
print of their picture while the three other category winners will each receive a 14in x 11in copy of their photograph. The
children will also receive a trophy. The portraits were taken at the Morrisons store by Fraser Portraits of Broadstone,
Dorset. Parents of the winning children will be contacted about the presentation shortly.
