Junior Princess entries
CHARLEY DAVISON, 10, of Bridport Primary School, likes the shops and views that can be seen and also the peace and quiet. She hates the traffic and shops that take up all the time. She likes
to hang out with her mates and help other people if they are upset. Her favourite bits of carnival are the shows and acts and the princess. "I want to be princess because I have never done it before
and would like to prove I can do it," she said.
LOTTIE HANSFORD, 11, goes to Bridport Primary School. She likes Bridport's quiet atmosphere and range of shops, but says there is not much for children her age to do. In her spare time she
enjoys hanging out with her friends, shopping, singing and dancing and likes everything about Bridport Carnival. Asked why she wants to be princess she said: "I love the carnival - everyone cheering
at the princesses - and it's fun."
ANNABELLE SAINT, 7, goes to St Mary's School in Bridport. She likes the music and fun in Bucky Doo Square and also the carnival procession, but doesn't like Bridport's traffic. She enjoys
swimming and pestering her grandad in her spare time. She particularly likes the brass bands in the carnival. She wants to be princess because "I would like to feel like Cinderella," she said.
SHANNON LEWIS, 9, of Bridport Primary School, likes that Bridport is near the beach and has a great swimming pool. She doesn't like it when the seagulls rip open rubbish bags. She likes going
swimming and dancing in her spare time and enjoys all the lovely floats at carnival. "I want my family to be proud of me and feel beautiful inside and wave to all the people in town," she said.
MOLLY BEARE, 9, is a pupil at Bridport Primary School. She likes all the art and culture of Bridport and says there is nothing she dislikes about the town. In her spare time she enjoys playing
with her friends, musical theatre and spending time with her family. At carnival she likes to see all the people dressed up in their costumes and holding a torch on torchlight night. "I have lots of
confidence; and I've always wanted to be a carnival princess," she said.
TAMSYN HILTON, 9, enjoys visiting her grandma in Bridport saying she is fun. She doesn't like people smoking around her and going to the shops. In her spare time she goes trampoling, singing
and dancing and likes seeing her best friends. She enjoys throwing money for the collection at Carnival. "I like acting, I've done a few shows and I like the people waving and cheering at you. Looks
fun dressing up," she said.
XANTHE HAWKER, 10, is a pupil at St Mary's School. She likes Bridport's atmosphere and seeing people smiling while they are playing and having fun with friends. The only thing she dislikes
about the town is seeing homeless people on the streets. She loves dancing and playing games with her friends. She enjoys "seeing people with a smile spread across their face" at carnival time and
wants to be princess "because everyone I know will be proud of me and I will be proud of myself while being happier than ever with a smile."
ISOBELLA RUMENS, 9, from Bridport Primary School likes Bridport's nice shops and super views and likes going to West Bay and having an ice cream at Margaret's. She dislikes silly seagulls,
smoking and bullying and reading about violence or criminals in the Bripdort News. In her spare time she swims, reads, draws and paints and enjoys cooking, playing in the garden and being with her
friends and family. At carnival she likes all the funny people and big fabulous floats. She said: "I would be very proud to represent my home town so much."
MAIA HILTON, 9, of Broadwindsor School enjoys visiting her grandma and friends, going to the shops and playing in Bucky Doo Square. She says she likes everything about Bridport. Her spare time
is spent playing with her family and friends, dressing up, handling her pets and ballet dancing. She likes the costumes at carnival and that people throw money to be collected. "I have never been in
carnival before and I think it looks really fun to be part of it," she said.
