A LYME Regis dentist has been pioneering new treatment.

Dr Philip Bennett, at Lyme Bay Dentistry, is president of the Association of Dental Implantology.

The organisation is the national body that oversees a new dental treatment.

Staff at Lyme Bay Dentistry said they had the skills needed to replace damaged or missing teeth with space age' materials that hold out the very real promise of permanent replacements for lost or damaged teeth'.

Dr Bennett believes it will consign conventional treatments like plates and dentures to history.

He said that Lyme Bay Dentistry has also installed of new technology for dealing with tooth cavities - and then cutting out the two-week laboratory delays involved in manufacturing the replacements.

He said that the surgery will be able to produce porcelain inlays and crowns in 45 minutes.

New cosmetic treatments are also available at the Lyme Bay Dentistry -including teeth whitening, to remove unsightly dental staining, and Botox and Restylane cosmetic facial treatments to lift eyebrows, plump eyes and reshape mouths.
