SMITH Stephen Douglas 'Steve' Passed away peacefully on 15 June 2018, aged 67 years. Loving and loved husband to Carole, devoted stepdad to Lorna and Richard, fun loving grandad to Lola, Lily and Evelyn. A much loved brother to Stewart, brother in law to Cherry and uncle to Jason and Emma. Funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Bradpole on Friday, 29 June at 11.00am. Family flowers only please donations, if desired, for Cancer Research UK which may be sent c/o A J Wakely & Sons, 91 East Street, Bridport, DT6 3LB.

So sad to hear the news of Steve's passing. His DJing was stuff of legend, I remember him entertaining us 40-odd years ago at various barn dances and discos. One of the nicest men you could ever meet, and I will be eternally grateful to him for the fantastic job he did at our wedding reception - 21 years ago today. My condolences to his family and friends. Steve, you were a true gent and, without exaggeration, a Bridport icon. Rest in peace brother x
