A HOST of famous faces, including Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes, have brewed up for a Dorset charity.

The celebrities have posed for ‘mugshots’ as part of the Julia’s House hospice charity’s annual ‘Time for Tea’ campaign.

Julia’s House patrons have also supported the campaign by taking their own ‘mugshots’, including football managers Harry Redknapp and Eddie Howe, as well as comedian Debra Stephenson.

People across Dorset and Wiltshire are being encouraged to hold tea parties and bake sales during the campaign in order to raise as much money as possible.

Events can be held at home, at work or out in the community, bringing people together in order to help with fundraising.

Fundraisers are also encouraged to raise awareness of the campaign on social media.

Fundraisers can support the campaign by taking a photo similar to the celebrity backers and tweeting it to @Julias_House using the hashtag #showusyourmug.

Julia’s House supports children across Dorset and Wiltshire who suffer from life-limiting conditions and their families. Its current Dorset hospice, based in Corfe Mullen, will be joined by a Wiltshire counterpart, in Devizes, next year.

Last year, Julia’s House nurses gave more than 28,000 hours of respite care to children and their families in order to help them deal with the pressure of caring for a child with complex needs.

Kayleigh, whose sons Leo, two, and Elliott, one, have a rare metabolic disorder, said: “Having experienced nurses and carers gives us the confidence to enjoy our freedom knowing nothing is going to happen that they can’t handle.

“Julia’s House makes an unbelievable difference in how we are able to cope as a family.

“Those breaks mean so much to us.”

The ‘Time for Tea’ campaign is being sponsored by Dorset Tea, which is providing vouchers for a free box of tea with each pack, as well as recipe tips and fundraising ideas.

To register for a ‘Time For Tea’ pack, visit any Julia’s House shop or send an email to timefortea@juliashouse.org.
