BRIDPORT’S Millennium Green now has a five year management plan after it was discussed at the management group’s agm.
The Green is made up of the gardens surrounding Mountfield and the meadow and woodland on nearby Coneygar Hill, which now also has access at its northern end, and is owned by an independent charitable trust.
Details of the plan and a questionnaire regarding its future are also available at Bridport Tourist Information Centre in Bucky Doo Square.
The friends’ group, whose purpose is to raise money to help finance these improvements, welcomes new members. Membership is £5 annually and gives a discount on entry to events during the year, and now has the bonus of offering 10 per cent off all non-sale goods at Smith & Smith outfitters in West Street.
For details contact chairman/treasurer Sandra Brown on 01308 423078 or Sue Wilkinson, secretary on 01308 425037.
Future events include talks, quizzes, and the Twelfth Night event on January 6, 2017 with the Symondsbury Mummers and Tinkers Cuss band.
