CAMERAS are rolling in west Dorset this week as ITV crews started work on a new reality series.

The production team chose Jeff Bolam and Diana Forrest's house in Combpyne near Lyme Regis to film for a new 25-part television programme entitled 'Guess This House'.

Three sets of couples will spend 15 minutes in Middle House, and all other houses being featured in the programmes.

They will then have to guess the amount that the house is on the market for and the value of the contents. The contestants who come closest to the real values will go on to the next stage of the competition.

Diana said they thought were discovered by the production company because their house was for sale.

She said: "Middle House is a spacious characterful property which was originally a farm building in Combpyne and is one of three around a pretty courtyard with its own generously-sized private back garden. Combpyne itself is a charming, secluded hamlet about four miles from Lyme Regis.

"ITV's website states they were looking for “striking, quirky and unique properties” to be included in the programmes, and the producers clearly think that Middle House fits the bill.

"The contents of the house have been valued by a professional valuer and auctioneer, and he picked out some unusual items for the contestants to be directed towards which, while not necessarily valuable, might be difficult for them to evaluate.

“Guess This House” will be aired Monday to Friday over a five week period later in the year.

Diana added: "We are excited about the filming and the prospect of our house appearing on television.

"They obviously found us on Right Move.

"Who knows if it helped us sell it, that would be a bonus but it is just a bit of fun."
