WEST DORSET: Motorists are being warned to take care on the A35 after a manhole cover collapsed.
A BT manhole cover collapsed in Charmouth, near to the junction with the A3052.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “We were called to the incident at 11.50am after reports of a drain cover sticking out in the middle of the road on the A35 just west of Charmouth.
“On arrival, the manhole cover had come off the drain and the Highways Agency were called to the incident to repair the manhole cover.”
