A Bridport woman is going on a mega fundraising mission for charity.

Terry Krasinska is organising a total of five events from May to October in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare.

Terry, who is retired, wanted to raise money for the charity as they are local with ‘wonderful, caring staff’. She is also doing it in memory of her late brother whom she wishes ‘had the care of Weldmar.’

At present, the Bridport woman has raised around £2,500 for the hospice of a £4,600 minimum target and she is ‘really looking forward’ to raising even more.

The first event in the jam-packed schedule is a cider tasting tour at the Isaac Orchard near Beaminster on May 15.

During the informal tour, visitors can learn all about the cider journey from tree to bottle, with a cider tasting at 11am.

Tickets are £10 per person.

Next up on the list of events is a tour of Pugin Hall, Rampisham on June 11 at 2pm.

Those interested will receive a tour of the hall and will then have the chance to explore the gardens at their own leisure.

This is an event that Terry is particularly looking forward to, as she explained that she ‘hasn't seen it in a good number of years.’

Tickets are £12.

A special lunch experience with the theme of the Orient Express will also be taking place at the Station Kitchen in West Bay on June 15.

People are invited to enjoy a special two or three course meal at 12.30pm and can also enjoy a raffle – the lunch is £30-£35.

A huge prize bingo is another one of the events taking place on July 6 at 7pm at the BYCC in Bridport.

Finally, the main event is a spellbinding gala dinner which is set to take place at the George Albert Hotel, near Dorchester on October 12 from 7pm.

The theme of the night is glam and sparkle and there will be plenty of entertainment, including music from Emily Jean, a ‘promising’ auction, as well as food and drink.

Tickets are available to purchase now for £40 per person.
